"Review of the new demo of Monastery from Masterful maga'zine"

Yes my dears - this exactly THIS Monastery. Don't you remember? You confused it with some German or Dutch band with the same name? Well, no wonder - "wia Inkwizycja" published 10 years ago by Baron Records must have been covered by dust and dead spiders. In themeantime Ania Volantzky joined the band on vocal, they recorded together one more demo and then silence, the band didn't give any life signs. But it turned out that the thrashers from wiebodzin didn't indulge in raising babies, careers, watering gardens and other idiotic duties, which wait for everyone who steps from the righteous rock and roll life way. In year 2002 they made decision about restarting of drinking beer and what goes with it - continuation of Monastery - project and playing music not exactly as popular now as few years ago. Taking into consideration this what is on this CD I found this step as absolutley proper. Such first-rate thrash in our country I haven't heard for ages. The energy, force, the technique really to envy, all american-Bay-Area-thrash-like with a light taste of core - with doubt it is a good piece of excelent metal. As a devoted fan of Britney and Shakira it was not easy to accept the raging manner of Ania Volantzky (ha!ha!) until she spat out the title words in "Shattered faith" and my hair stood on my neck. Soon I was flattened by incredible "Red bitch" with death metal tempos and in new "Testament's" style and now I am completely under the lady and her mates reign. I want more! Five tracks is not enough - especially if one is a total escape, that sounds like a parody of pop - rock ballad; and I just skip it all the time atherwise I would have fucked off my all day by humming of this damn stupid chours. Another case is the production of this demo. When you hear that something has been recorded in home studio you don't have high expectations about the final outcome. But what is producing the guitarist Wojtek Cenajek "Poland" at home leaves behind most of so called proffessional recording studios in our country! The fact that Supreme Lord have recorded their guitar tracks to "X99.9" at their place should suffice to prove my words. I hope that during their concerts the band does as well and despite not very favourable conditions for extra beers for the band. May be even that would be enough to bribe a critics? ;)
