Monastery came into being in the first half of 90's and represents Polish Thrash Metal stage. Since that time the band has come into being on the music market playing many gigs (f.e. Jarocin Festival, Shark Attack) which resulted in publishing a few demos and two records: "God Save" published by AR "Pomorze" Szczecin (PL) - 1993 and "Swieta Inkwizycja" publ. by Baron Records, Piekary Sl.(PL) - 1993 (sold more than five thousand pcs of tape).
From the beginning the strong side of the band has been playing the concerts live, during which Monastery plays mainly own pieces and sometimes a few covers. Strong, powerful female voice adds originality to these style. Presently Monastery are Volantzky (vocal), Poland (guitar), Jabol (bass), Mały (drums). The band plays as well on the big gigs and also gets drunk with pleasure in small pubs or clubs (the musicians of Monastery prefer close relations with the fans very much). At this time Monastery is working hard on the new record (listen to working version of a few tracks in mp3).
